Hi, I'm Abigail! I've lived in the mountains of Vermont since I was six years old. I've loved writing for as long as I knew how (creating my first book around age 5) and it’s always been a major way to express myself.
My writings over the years include journal entries and lengthy letters to pen-pals, poems and short stories, homeschool curriculum, nonfiction, word puzzle books, historical fiction, and what I call “realistic fiction” like my book series Through the Seasons with the Brennans. In this 12-book series, I drew from my experiences growing up (in addition to writing most of the series while watching or holding little children). I am currently self-publishing this series and dreaming up more book projects.
I also love reading and am well-teased for how quickly I read books (only to have to read them again three months later because I didn’t absorb the details well enough the first time).
I grew up the oldest child in a large Christian homeschooling, homesteading family. I am now a happy wife and mother and continue to be passionate about sharing my faith and life experiences through writing. I'd love to hear from you! Just go over to the "Contact" page.
Rock of Ages goes back a long ways - all the way back to January of 2011, when I (then nine-year-old Abigail) decided to start an unofficial company by that name. I made a monthly magazine featuring poems, stories, and articles - all biblically centered - and wrote storybooks (like the first edition of the Brennan books!)
When I officially set up the company in September 2024, I called it "Rock of Ages Publishing" to better reflect our mission, publishing books.
Our logo features a rock with light rays - a spinoff of the logo I created many years ago! (My slogan back then was "Spreading God's Light", hence the light rays.)
